Redeeming Love....

(When we understand a womans heart, we catch a glimpse of God's heart towards His creation).
Today I taught a group of students at Xtreme Life Training Center hosted by Word of Faith Family Church in Willmar, MN.. I teach every Monday and it is a great privledge to be a part of these students lives as they pursue the call of God on the their lives. There is such a hunger in their hearts for the things of God. Passionately pursuing God is what this school is all about. Today I taught on Leadership. But what I truly enjoyed was our informal discussion during break. These students are talented and gifted and I know they each have a grand purpose in this life. I had interesting side conversation with one of the students on parenting and fatherhood. We talked about the importance of a Father in a childs life and how detrimental it is to a child when there is no father-figure around. I have two daughters, the other day my oldest daughter brought home a daily journal she writes in at school. What she had written in it warmed my heart and reinforced the path that I am taking with my girls. Her journal said, "I am a special girl and my Daddy and Mommy love me. Building a healthy self esteem into my girls is what I have been endeavoring to do since they were born.
Years ago I read a book called "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. I would say that this book captures the heart of women and also reveals her deepest hearts cry. To be forgiven, to be loved, to be fought for and to pursued at great cost because of an all-consuming love. I must admit it is challenging at times for me to understand this part of a womans heart. But it is enough for me to see that it is there and it is a part of God's divine design in His daughters. And likewise, because I have daughters I want to know as much as I can so I never break their hearts or crush their spirits. I want to send my girls out into the world as adults who are equipped for life and wont settle for the status quo in anything. I believe they deserve the best and that if they know how much they are loved that they will be strong and independent. It is my prayer that any women I know will experience the love of the heavenly Father this day. Selah....
Shalom,
Jeremy
