Catching Up with Friends!

I had some great luck finding an old friend of mine on Facebook. His name is Karl. A good friend and lots of great memories from the angst ridden 1990's. Karl and I have shared a passion for literature and the creative process. Life has moved us in different directions, but we have reconnected using a social utility website like Facebook. Life is a story and we are all characters and coauthors writing on the pages of one anothers lives. Many times the friends we make in our younger years are lost in the shuffle of our busy lives and we don't take the time to catch up and find where people are at and what they are doing. I am guilty of this myself. I have come to have a cognitive and spiritual sobriety in these years of my life that generally keeps me on the straight and narrow path. There are still hints of the person I once was, but I think it is more interesting to focus on the person we are and will become. I think most people have an innate desire to leave a mark on the world, to do something that inspires others and builds a legacy for those that will come after us. My friend Karl is doing just that, he is pursuing his dreams and teaching English at the college level. When friends are able to inspire one another in ways that fuel their ambitions to move beyond status quo living and to pursues their passions, I believe something great has been achieved!

My best freind ever would have to be my wife Cally, she truly inspires me. My other little pals are my daughters Maddie and Ellie. They are remarkable young ladies and it is a priveldge to raise them. Gotta go for now!
