19 A brother offended is harder to be won over than a strong city, and [their] contentions separate them like the bars of a castle. 20 A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].
Over a year ago I had a discussion with a student that had some strong personal theological convictions. In the course of the conversation I think something happened and that I perhaps said somthing offensive to this man. Whatever I did God has been speaking to my heart about apologizing to him. So today I sent him an e-mail explaining my apology and I asked for his forgiveness if I did indeed cause offense. I have noticed in the course of ministry that what you say and what people hear can be two totally different things. I feel that it is important to explain myself without belaboring the point to prevent any misunderstanding regarding what I'm communicating. So, for now, I say sorry and hope to have future contact with this man for further discussion. Selah....
Peace,
Chaplain Jeremy
